Star director playing cheap trick with Pawan Kalyan

Star Tamil director,Mani Ratnam, is making a film titled Kadal in Tamil. It will also be dubbed in Telugu. With this movie Maniratnam is introducing yesteryear hero Karthik's son in Kollywood. Samantha is playing female lead in this movie.

Mani Ratnam and Shankar has similar market in Tollywood.Inspite of making themovie in Tamil , Shankar takes complete care of  product in Telugu as well.He reshoots whereever it is required, to get native feel to Telugu audience (such as changing nameplates, and Telugu boards), but Maniratnam never takes care of dubbing in Telugu and he doesn't encourage re shooting the required scenes in Telugu with familiar actors and never bothers to rope in quality dubbingartists.Almost his every movie will be thrown on audience face without any customizations that are mandatory to achieve native feel.

With all his recent films bombing at box office, producers are constantly ending up in losses. To be on safe side Maniratnam is playing a cheap trick with Telugu audience this time. As the hero is not very familiar enough  to pull the crowds in Telugu  he is trying to rope Pawan Kalyan for an important role in this film. According to grapevine in mega circles Maniratnam approached PawanKalyan offering a cameo in Telugu version of Kadal.

Nothing has been confirmed from Pawan Kalyan. It's shocking to see a director like Maniratnam is also trying to use brand of Powerstar. It seems highly unlikely because Pawan is busy wrapping up GabbarSingh and his project with Puri will kick off in June. Being said that, Pawan always throws surprises, last year he signed for a guest role in Singitham Srinivas's movie which has beenshelved now. Let us see what Pawan Kalyan has in store for Maniratnam.
